Kingsmead help with Woodland Development

Pupils from year 1 and year 6 recently had the opportunity to work alongside a group of volunteers from City firm KPMG, on conservation and maintenance of Hackney Marsh

Pupils from year 1 and year 6 recently had the opportunity to work alongside a group of volunteers from City firm KPMG, on conservation and maintenance of Hackney Marsh for the Hackney Parks department. They created Insect Hotels, cleared old plants and helped to create pathways. It was a great opportunity to find out more about the wildlife on the Marsh and the woodland development. The KPMG team said they had a brilliant day with our pupils and this fun opportunity working with young people really helped challenge their communication skills in more ways then usual. They also commented what a bright and engaging bunch they were.
