How To Find Us

Kingsmead Primary School has an active travel plan and has been awarded Outstanding Standards level by the Sustainable Travel Accreditation Scheme. We actively encourage visitors, staff and pupils to use sustainable modes of transport to travel to the school when possible.

Cycling to our school:

Below is information about how to reach our school by public transport.

Buses:

The following bus routes regularly run along nearby Homerton Road:
276 – route: Stoke Newington to Newham General Hospital
236 – route: Finsbury Park to Hackney Wick
W15 – route: Hackney Dalston Lane to Cogan Avenue Estate
308 – route: Clapton Park to Wanstead

Trains/Tube:

The nearest overground train station is Homerton, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the school from this station or 5 minutes walk to a bus stop for a 2 minute bus journey on either the 276, 236 or W15. The nearest bus stop is on Homerton Road by Kingsmead Way.

There is no tube station within walking distance of the school. The nearest tube stations are:

  • Stratford (central and jubilee lines)  -  the school is a 15 minute bus journey from this station (bus 308), or 2 stops by overground rail to Homerton station
  • Leyton (central line) – the school is a 10 minute bus journey from this station (bus 308 or W15)
