We held a fantastic whole school launch event for the World Cup in early June. Mixed age group teams were supported by over 200 volunteers from RSA who came into the school to help us.
Members of Kingsmead and Gayhurst Schools’ cycle racing teams were invited to a special 100 Days To Go, Tour de France press launch , with Boris Johnson, Mayor of London.
Nine girls from years 5 & 6 recently went to the Women of the World festival on the Southbank.
There has been a buzz of excitement this week as book authors and illustrators visit Kingsmead!
Last week Year 2 and Year 4 took part in Nest Box Building workshops, creating 10 bird nest boxes to put up around the school site.
On Monday this week, Year 5 visited the London Eye, down on the Southbank by the River Thames
Kingsmead win the Primary Boys 7-a-side Glyn Williams trophy tournament without conceeding a single goal in the nine games of the tournament!
Kingsmead are the regional winners for the Ready Berry Cook challenge 2013. Our entry has been put forward to the national finals...watch this space!
Kingsmead's cycle racing team had a very different experiece last week, racing on fixed bikes at Young Hackey Primary Schools Cycling League's Roller Racing Derby.
Our talented drumming and dance troupe, the Dynamix, recently played at the Hackney Music Service Gala at the Hackney Empire.
