Latest News from Kingsmead Primary School
Kingsmead took part in the mass cycling event on 27th June, arranged by Hackney Council. Along with pupils from many other Hackney schools they cycled a 9 mile circuit around the borough that ended in London Fields.
A group of fourteen pupils and three members of staff travelled to Paris for the weekend to practise their French and enjoy a taste of life in France. They had a fantastic trip, visitng the Eiffel Tower and the Tuilleries Gardens.
Chats Palace held a writing competition called ‘The Secret of Chatsworth Road’’. It was in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Chats Palace.

We have a new reward for children showing exceptionally good behaviour in the dining hall at lunchtime.
We are really happy that Kingsmead now has artificial grass in the Multi Use Games Area (named The Cage by the children). The school council has asked if this would be possible for 3 years and finally our wish has been granted!
At the end of last term we held two workshops on Effective Communication for our Turkish speaking families.
Kingsmead pupils came up with the idea of writing raps and poems for this year's Anti Bullying week.
Our last class assembly of the term was a wonderful re-telling of the Nativity Story by Brown Class.
